There are principles to make the best use of time that has been given. It seems very strange when we think about time, but when we live in time it seems remarkably simple. No one is more powerful than time and if no one has control over it. God has given everyone 24 hours a day. Not a second less or more, whether they are poor or rich. But now it depends on who uses these 24 hours and how. In the same way, ‘a small work done at right time is very beneficial and after the passage of time a great work done becomes in vain.’ If you are asked for any work, then your attitude should be that you do it on time. You will do the work the same way, but it is particularly important to do it on time. Because that work is your top priority. So, let us spend some time with some time management and get to know about the Best Technique of some Time Management skills.
- Time is Most Valuable
Every moment of time is a unique gift of God. If we keep moving towards our goal by arranging our time in a planned manner and our goal and purpose are constantly in front of our will power, then surely our destination will also be achieved. The secret of achieving success in life lies in making effective use of every moment of our time. The river flows, the clock runs, even the sun, moon and stars do not rest. Animals and birds carry out their routine regularly. All nature follows regular continuity in its actions by being disciplined. Then by attaining human life, we should also leave laziness and make effective use of our precious time, because what is going to happen next, we do not know, and neither the next part of the moment. Therefore, first we should divide our time in regular routine and follow it disciplined. Compare this in such a way that if we want to get a thousand coins, then we must save each currency considering it as invaluable. As the mug is filled with drop by drop, similarly the day comes together moment by moment, weeks and months are made, time slips by hand and later we can do nothing but repent. Many people waste their present time worrying about the past and the future, while it is certain that the time wasted does not come back. You want to do something but since when? How to do it? What should be done? Due to this worry, they spend most of their present time. By then it is too late, and time runs out of hand. Most people considered money a wonderful thing, but very few people recognized the value of time. In fact, with a little thought, it becomes clear that time is precious. Think seriously—you can earn a lot of money by giving your time, but you cannot buy time with money.
In the context of utilising your valuable time, take inspiration from Elan Musk. The Elan musk will continue to inspire you to think big, never give up, creative and positive things. Elan Musk’s has tried many times to go to moon but failed and he kept trying and he got success. Musk is a Trilinear but most of the time you can find him sleeping in his company Wear-house not because he does not have a home, it is because he can put more time into things rather than spending time travelling home and coming back the next morning. By considering these trivial things you will be able to successfully complete maximum work in the shortest possible time while planning the time.
- Utilising Time
When the age is over, then you cannot get a second extra time even by paying a lot of money. Therefore, this basic truth-time of life needs to be used very carefully. You can save money, but you cannot save time. Many things including money can be recovered when destroyed, but the time elapsed cannot be recovered.
The second important thing in terms of utilisation of time is the purpose-determining of life’s purpose. Just like when the mighty flow of a river is divided into many branches by taking out canals, then even a huge flow does not reach its sole destination sea and ends up scattered here and there on the earth. But if even a simple flow of a river continues towards its only goal, then the flow of many branches of other small rivers also gets mixed in it. Eventually it becomes a huge flow and reaches its destination, the target sea. Similarly, if there is no definite goal, even with magnificent work and demanding work, the real purpose of life cannot be achieved.

How many times in life have you wondered how much more work you could have done if day and night were bigger? In today’s rapidly progressing era, when a network of information and opportunities is spread all around you, then the value of your time has been judged more important than your money. Just as you make beneficial use of your money, in the same way you must make sure to use your time properly. For this, effective time management is essential. The quality of your work can be judged only by proper management of time. Effective and useful management of time is even more difficult than managing money because you can accumulate money and it keeps on fluctuating, but you cannot keep time by accumulating. It goes on continuously from moment to moment at its fixed speed and goes on without you knowing. For effective management of time, it is necessary that your body, heart, and mind are also healthy and for this it is necessary that you follow a regular routine, do regular exercise, eat balanced food, wake up early in the morning and make effective use of valuable time. And keep yourself busy with useful work. Keep in mind that time is equally available to everyone. A busy person has proper time for every task, whereas a lazy person has no time for any work and keeps postponing each task. The need of time management is not the same for each person, but it depends on what you want to do in your life. What do you want to be? How much do you want to progress? For this you must set your priorities, you must determine your position, you must determine the direction of your work.
Once you decide what tasks you must do, then only you will be able to decide how to make proper use of the twenty-four hours of the day. In this way, it is especially important to prioritise the many tasks before you, because you cannot increase or decrease the fixed period. Only it can be utilised properly based on their priority and importance of the tasks. This is the key to proper time management. While using your time, you also must keep in mind that your family, friends, colleagues etc. can also affect your time. Along with this, you must harmonize many aspects of your personality with each other, so that you can divide the 24 hours available with you for various needs like your business, family, entertainment, health, etc. The second important thing in the context of time management is to prepare yourself to deal with sudden obstacles in your field of work, because it is certain that there will be sudden obstacles in your life many times. You cannot avoid them but be prepared to deal with them. Do not consider the time spent dealing with such obstacles a waste. The third important thing in this context is that your goals and objectives should not be in different directions in different work areas, because goal-achievement in daily tasks is the only way to achieve your daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, and ultimately life’s goals and objectives that would be helpful to do. When you make a definite goal of achieving the goal in your daily work, you will be able to achieve the goal of your life successfully. The fourth important requirement in terms of time management is to keep yourself away from laziness. The habit of postponing work is formed from childhood and then the tendency of postponing today’s work for tomorrow increases. In this way, many such tasks get accumulated, which you keep postponing due to one reason or the other. Coming to a limit, many tasks are beyond your reach, and you do not have time to complete them. In this way, if you fail in many tasks, you start feeling self-loathing. To avoid this, it is necessary that you keep on completing the assigned tasks according to your priorities. According to Indian culture we have this saying “Whatever you planned to do tomorrow do it today, whatever you planned to do today do it now, what if in second disaster will start, when you will do the left work” Do not postpone them for tomorrow and remember these lines. These lines are good examples of phycological boundaries that most of us have and must push ourselves to our fullest potential and learn time management.
The fifth important thing in this context is that some time must be given for the supply of small necessities that come in day-to-day life. For children, for family, for relatives, for sudden invitations, meeting friends, doing odd jobs outside the home, meeting unexpected people in school, doing things like telephone or messaging, your executives. Sometimes you will have to give some time to solve some or the other problems of your colleagues and subordinates etc. You cannot live in isolation from society. You cannot remain isolated even in the school or office. You cannot even leave your family and children to their fate. You must shape their future. Make sure to spend your time on important tasks but refuse unnecessary tasks. Do not lose your temper, but do not sit ready to do everything. Only you can control and control your time smoothly, not any other person can do it for you.
Time under your control the sixth important thing in the context of time management is Parkinson’s law (it come into play when juggling work deadlines or managing projects). (T.Asana.19.06.2022). According to the basic concept of this rule, the more time you have and the more time you want to spend doing something, the more that work will increase. Many times, you must have noticed that the deadline for doing the work you had been postponing has ended and you get rid of it by completing it in a hurry. Then why not complete it in the shortest possible time by working well in advance, so that you can get the satisfaction of completing it successfully.
Seventh important thing- The 80/20 rule is also worth keeping in mind while planning and working. (When applied to work, it means that approximately 20 percent of your efforts produce 80 percent of the results. Learning to recognise and then focus on that 20 percent is the key to making the most effective use of your time) (Ma.Fam Pract Manag. 2000;7(8):76). According to this rule, only 20 percent of the time you spend is related to your productive and useful work, the remaining 80 percent of the time you waste in small, unproductive, and unproductive tasks. So, plan before starting important work. Do the most difficult tasks at the beginning of the day when you are full of energy. You can assign a variety of tasks to other people to complete. You must believe in them and their efficiency as well. Do not hesitate to assign certain specific tasks to your partner, colleague, employee, other family member etc. This is not your disqualification. Getting other people to work is also an ability, an art.
Eighth main thing in terms of time management – in addition to the tasks to be done according to the plan, you will have to spend your useful time in dealing with many problems coming in your home and office, by post and other day-to- day. In this way, it is also an art successfully complete the tasks that have arisen suddenly. Do not consider the time taken to complete them as wasted.
The ninth important thing in terms of time management is to keep all your things in place in your home and office, so that when you need it, you can blindly pick it up and put it back at the same place after using it. Can you Make it a mandatory rule- ‘Each thing has a definite place and keep it in that place’(Gary.Martin). Properly identifying the value of time, regulating it and grooming it is much more difficult than grooming your money.
- Fixed period
In the last one century itself, most technological inventions and developments have happened in the world, due to which many tasks of life have amazing speed on the one hand and unlimited simplicity on the other hand. Until recently, people continued to perform many types of work efficiently even without these technological inventions. Keep working hard, enjoying healthy entertainment and family and social life. To make effective use of time, we should meditate on the routine of an ordinary housewife, who wakes up early in the morning, prepares breakfast for children and husband after taking bath, meditation, sending them to school and office, rubbing soap and beating them. Washing clothes, cleaning the house, keeping clothes pressed and kept, taking care of pets and mulch animals, preparing breakfast and tea on the return of children and husband from school and office, taking care of gardens, flowers, etc. Socialising in the neighbourhood, preparing the evening meal, some studies, sewing, knitting, etc., completes all the tasks on time. This means that all the tasks of the day are completed in time. This includes taking the help of family and friends as needed.
Have you ever wondered how an ordinary housewife manages to do so many things day by day in such a systematic manner? If needed, according to the capacity of the husband and children, assign them some work and get them done. Of course, all the rules related to general management and time management are applicable in all of them. For an ordinary housewife there was no such subject as time management. Even today no such education is available to the housewives. All things are learned by themselves and made into a habit. This is the essence of time management.
It is a wonderful expression of man that each person thinks and acts differently. The way of thinking differently and doing different work determines that one person remains happy even after doing many tasks according to the time and while doing any work another person keeps thinking that he does not have time.
You may not be in 100% control of your life and your time, but you can make a habit of using time effectively. You will feel satisfied with a small achievement like not wasting time and will be able to successfully complete many tasks according to priority.
For this you only need to practice your time regulation and control. Recognising the importance of time and estimating its value, one must take a pledge not to waste it or allow it to be destroyed. You must decide whether you want to use your time wisely or not. If yes, are you ready to make changes to it from time to time? For this, you must make changes in your way of life, lifestyle, workstyle, home-family, friends, entertainment etc., so that you can use your time effectively. If you cannot change your simple habits, you will get what you have always had.
An important thing in the context of time is that before doing every work in life, make a habit of planning and planning, but do not waste all the time in thinking and planning.
Once you have decided to remove unnecessary concepts and habits from your life, then you must think about the answers to the following questions-
- How do you use your time in a more effective way and how do you plan it?
- By changing what old habits can you save time?
- What is your best, most effective and productive time of day—morning, afternoon, evening, or night?
- What will you get by using the time wisely?
- What will you gain by doing more useful work in less time?
- How much time do you waste by doing work without thinking and without any plan?
- What is the purpose of your life?
- What do you want to do in your life?
- How much progress do you want to make in your life?
- Which goal do you want to achieve?
- How do you want to work in life?
- How do you want to achieve success in your life?
- Do you want to keep doing multiple tasks and staying connected with all the people all the time?
- Do you keep on wasting your valuable time to stay connected with all the people like this and are not able to complete any work?
- Do you keep postponing any work till the last minute?
- Are you not able to complete the necessary but difficult tasks on time by making excuse of not having time?
- Can you assess the ability of other people to do any work before assigning them?
- Can you give proper directions to do something?
- Can you get work done by other people as per your wish?
- Do you have complete confidence in your abilities?
- Do you believe that you can make the necessary changes in your life and your habits?
All these questions are exceedingly difficult to answer. For this, you must find the right answer after introspection and reflection. If you keep on writing these, you will find that you waste most of your time on useless things and thus are not able to complete any work. You can save time by not worrying about your failures and leaving unnecessary tasks.
- Conclusion-Whatever the time for which you have been assigned, complete it according to that time and if that work is not completed on the estimated time, then do not leave it incomplete and keep that time in mind by completing it. The benefit of this will be that when you keep the same task again in your checklist next time, you will be able to estimate correctly and accurately this time and you will get the right time for that task next time and your time management will be able to run more accurately. You can manage your time according to those occasions by making a check list every day. But there are some invitations that you get or know a few hours, minutes or sometimes even a few seconds in advance (for example partying with friends or going for tea and coffee). Because of this, we ignore tomorrow’s stress by looking at today’s happiness, which in the future can give us nothing more than 100% stress. That is why keep in mind that whenever you get an invitation suddenly and it is not necessary for your work or study, then refuse to accept such invitations. It is a bit difficult because whose mind does not want to leave the work and party and then it will be easy to refuse his special friends, but it will be beneficial for the time to come. This is an amazingly simple suggestion but especially important because often when we have a lot of work, we forget that we have already done it or not. Due to this, we remain under stress about that work that this work went incomplete or sometimes it may happen that we do the same work twice. Due to this, our time will be wasted, and we will not get any benefit, so make sure that we write Done in front of it in the list after completion of every task.
